Kid-friendly restaurants are a must for our family. With three kids under three (at one point), our kids are still quite young, full of energy and they never want to sit still. Until they get a little older, we are all about the kid-friendly restaurants in and near Carlsbad, California.
Carlsbad is home to many amazing restaurants including the best places to dine out with kids. Here are some of my favorite kid-friendly restaurants in Carlsbad:
890 Palomar Airport Rd, Carlsbad, CA 92011
The Windmill Food Hall is Carlsbad’s newest kid-friendly food hall with many restaurant vendors that are already local to San Diego county. There is something for everyone and I love this about the Windmill Food Hall.
While I might want sushi or a lobster roll, my kids will not agree. I can grab them a quick burger or quesadilla at one of the neighboring vendors.
Whether you feel like a coffee or a cocktail, the Windmill Food Hall really has it all. Check out our blog post that is all about the highly anticipated Windmill Food Hall.
5958 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Draft Republic is a great place for families. There is the largest selection of beers, tons of games for all ages (including ping pong and arcade games), plenty of seating and some great food for the whole family.
They also have a great happy hour every day from 2-6pm and 10pm-close.
571 Carlsbad Village Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008
2730 Gateway Rd, Carlsbad, CA 92009
I love pizza port because it is super casual and laid back. Stroll in for lunch after the beach if you’d like. You can’t go wrong with pizza (and beer) plus games and fun for the kids.
They have two locations in Carlsbad, with other locations in neighboring areas.
Pizza Port’s beers on tap are my favorite and they also brew their own beer!
3040 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Park 101 is an outdoor bbq joint offering cocktails, games, plenty of picnic tables and even a roof top deck for the adults.
My kids enjoy their cotton candy machine. A free cotton candy token is included in every kid’s meal.
I love their cocktails and their frosé (frozen rosé) is a popular choice!
They host many events including luau night, movies in the park, trivia night and more.
2725 State St, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Campfire is the perfect place for a unique dining experience. They have amazing food (best enjoyed by foodies and not picky eaters) and hand-crafted cocktails.
My kids love their outdoor teepee! They also have a great breakfast and brunch menu.
430 Carlsbad Village Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Crackheads is a small outdoor bar in the heart of Carlsbad Village. They are kid-friendly with picnic tables, corn hole and a fire pit.
They serve breakfast sandwiches but are open all day and into the night.
These are my favorite kid-friendly restaurants in Carlsbad! There are so many other amazing places to dine at. Carlsbad has so many great restaurants and I am excited to see what else pops up in this amazing coastal town.
